Marine Fauna
North Sulawesi is known over the world as a premium dive destination, because of its three diverse dive areas which are each unique and different from each other:

• The National Marine Park Bunaken
• The Northern Peninsula Coastline and Islands between Gangga, Bangka and Cape Pulisan
• Lembeh Strait

Because of its marine biodiversity which is unmatched anywhere else in the world the French marine biologists Ginette Allard and Patrick Scaps called the area The Golden Triangle Of Marine Biodiversity in the mixing waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Others like National Geographic Author or New World publisher state in a similar way about Lembeh.
